What’s your work/life balance experience been at AZ?
Short answer – much better than previous manufacturing work experiences. Longer answer – I have been very fortunate to have experience a culture (and mainly a boss) who values family so when I need to be with my family, there is no pressure or question. On the flip side, that helps me feel more dedicated to the site and put in the extra effort and time at work.
How do you network with other women both inside and outside of AZ?
Our site is involved in a couple of network opportunities for women….one of them being the Women in IT Conference for High School students here in Cincinnati. In my role, I find it hard to network with women just because my work discipline is typically a male filled occupation.
What would you like other women to know about joining AZ as a new employee?
AZ is a fantastic company for women to be recognized for their talent. Inclusion and Diversity are highly valued which creates a culture where women are allowed immense opportunity.
What has been your favorite memory while at AstraZeneca?
There are so many great memories and I believe that I have much longer with the company to create more!
How do you feel AstraZeneca best supports your career as a female employee?
I think, in general and not just as a female, AZ affords you the opportunity to set the tone for your career. If you work hard and exemplify the behaviors and values and you are clear about your goals, you will be supported.
